Case Study 1

We were approached by a prospect who wished to reduce the cost of the swivel bases they were purchasing. Following discussions, a scope was agreed and Sorted® Workholding Systems produced a POC (Proof of Concept) for client approval. Following client testing our design was accepted and when costed for production produced savings between 30% and 55% across the range.

Case Study 2

A contact referred us to an engineer who had recently acquired a vice, mounted on a heavy duty swivel base. Unfortunately, this specific combination raised the jaws to an unacceptable working height. Discussions with the client determined both the ideal working height and the full role of the equipment. Sorted® Workholding Systems were able to modify an existing model that was fit for purpose and accepted by the client. The ability to modify an existing design produced a very cost-effective solution for the client.

Case Study 3

A gunmaker approached us with a bespoke jaw request. The business was an existing user of our QC Jaw System and they wanted a jaw to hold a range of small diameter pins. Discussions with the gunmaker determined the range to be from Ø3/64” to Ø1/4″ in 1/64” increments. Following the successful introduction of this jaw into the businesess’s production systems we were asked to supply a range of pin jaws in steel, aluminium and plastic.
